New Brunswick WorkSafeNB & CSA Compliant First Aid Kits

As of January 12, 2024, New Brunswick officially updated its First Aid Regulation (2004-130) to align with the national CSA Z1220-17 standard. Whether you are a small office in Moncton or a high-hazard project site in Saint John, your workplace must now be equipped with Type 1, 2, or 3 kits based on worker count and hazard level. New Brunswick WorkSafeNB & CSA Compliance

In New Brunswick, workplace safety is governed by the First Aid Regulation (2004-130). Effective January 12, 2024, WorkSafeNB officially adopted the CSA Z1220-17 standard. Employers are now legally required to select first aid kits based on the maximum number of employees per shift and the hazard level (High Hazard vs. Not High Hazard) of the work environment.

What are the legal requirements for first aid kits in New Brunswick?
